You know that feeling you get when you feel something is crawling on you? That’s the feeling I still have hours after finishing this book! The story is very layered and has some major plot twists that I didn’t see coming!
The start of the story really sucked me in! I was transfixed with what took place and as she started to uncover more and more I just couldn’t put the book down! The fact that she survived a brutal attack was just wow in itself but to know what took place when they found the attacker just had me shocked! I had to know what happened and who was behind the events!

When the truth started to reveal itself I was caught off guard by what actually took place and was floored with that jaw dropping ending! I can say that nothing beats a mother’s love and one thing was certain, Sydney had a deep love for her son!

Underneath all the layers though and one thing I identified with was the story of addiction! I don’t know if it’s because of real life experience that the deeper meaning resonated with me but I do see that beneath the mystery there's an underlying message of how addiction can take over and rule someone’s life. I don’t know if that was the Andy's purpose with the book or even a thought but it was something I picked up on as I read.

There are several flashbacks and time jumps in the story that had me a little confused at times but once it was all said and done I was able to see the connections and why between each one.
